    Cover Versions

The Feeling Have done some great cover Versions

Video Killed The Radio Star - The Buggles

    Fat Bottomed Girls - Queen

Electric Dreams - Philip Oakey and Giorgio Moroder

Time is Running Out - Muse

But what over tracks should they cover, May be we can get them to play it over the summer

    Re: Cover Versions

As much as I agree with everything else, I do think the boys' Muse cover was...lacking, slightly. It's a good cover, and the band do what they can with the acoustic instruments, but it didn't have that sense of urgency that really made the original. To be fair, I don't think any acoustic version of the song works as well as the original, because it does really need to have a proper, pounding drumbeat and slick electric guitars to get the atmosphere of the song just right...so, should I run for the hills now, or wait until everyone's sharpened their pitchforks? Stick out tongue

Getting on topic, though, I think Prince's Little Red Corvette would sound awesome if The Feeling covered it. I'm aware the whole song's just one big double entendre, but those whose ears are not yet ready for that which the song alludes to might not actually get the meaning (behold my wishful thinking)!

Just to add to the Queen repertoire, Seven Seas of Rhye - although not the most famous of the band's songs - would be a hell of a lot of fun!

I agree, about the Muse Track, you cant improve on the Muse version, But if your going to cover something, make it differnt

I have always thought that Seven Seas of Rhye is the best track by Queen, so that would be good.

im still thinking about what to suggest!

I'd like to see their full no-holds-barred version of 'Under Pressure' WITHOUT that pub landlord person getting in the way. Keane's cover of this song is probably my favourite cover by anyone ever, so I'd be interested to hear TF's full version. They obviously spent some time on the arrangement, it would be a shame for it never to see the light of day again!

I'd love to see them do Queen 'Don't stop me now' or Alan Parson's Project. Eye in the sky. Have to say I loved Electric Dreams. What an inspired choice. (Hic that first came out as chockie) Embarrassed

I've got to agree on both counts there Midge!  Although I can't decide who should attempt the really high notes.  I am still hoping that Dan will cover Don't You Want Me by The Human League with Sophie as he mentioned once.

For some reason I can really hear them doing a cover of Kraftwerk's The Model...

I absolutely have to agree about Under Pressure, it would'v been so good w/o Al Murray, snap for Fat Bottomed Girls.

They've also done Walk Like an Egyptian, Work (Kelly Rowland) and I'm sure loads more that I can't remember cos it's bedtime.

I want to see them do Aha - Take on Me.  Please.

I would have asked for Music by John Miles but they've slightly done that already....Stick out tongue

    Thank you.
