    Muse

Now, for the last year or so, I just couldn't get Muse.  Kept trying, but thought they were sterile and tedious, and just didn't see the point.

But then... saw that they were lined up for the Teenage Cancer Trust week of gigs at the Albert Hall, and so blagged some tickets for last Saturday.  Now I see the point!  Boy, what a fantastic night, noise, passion, skill and extreme performance, all in a wonderful intimite setting. I'm now a convert!

But interestingly, their fan forum is a scary place to be, and the few fans I spoke to on the night, while passionate about *their* band, really couldn't share my love of The Feeling.  Pah, their loss!

Earlier in the week I saw Madness (fantastic, I was grinning all the way through, and felt like a teenager all over again), Duffy (sublime), and Paul Weller (surprisingly tedious, an obscure and downbeat set - big dissappointment).  And then the night after Muse I also went to see Yfriday who are fab as always.

Thus ended my marathon of 4 gigs in 6 nights.  Was shattered, and no voice, on Monday morning...

Lol, thought I hadn't seen you around for a bit, now we know why Smile

Glad you had a great time, I'm just getting into Muse as well (CDs only though Sad).  Is that where they played the huge organ?

Yup, it was that, and I came back to the most evil week I've had for ages at work last week.  4 major activities all pulling me in different directions!

Yes, it was at the RAH where Matt played the organ, much to the delight of the Musers.  & I blagged myself up at the back to take a great close up of it at the ready.

The RAH organ at the ready:

The audience building up from backstage, but a pretty intimate audience for Muse:

Matt plays with his big organ...

    Re: Muse

Having only just discovered yesterday that Muse had anounced an Autumn tour, was quite pleased to pick up good tickets for the O2 on 13 Nov this morning with relatively little hassle during the usual frantic speed-sell-out!

This will be a rare breaking of my no-arenas-or-stadia rule, but I think they'll be worth it.

One of, in fact no, *the* advantage of having an O2 phone (It certainly isn't coverage, or reliability, or customer service) is being able to pre-order priority tickets for events at O2 venues..

I got the text for this, and then totally forgot to register.

    Ah, if only I'd known.

I had two browser sessions going, just to be sure, and both of them were offering me 4 tickets... sorry...
