oh wow very artistic, its a bit of a weird picture but i like it at the same time, i'll see if i have got any head shots of the guys :)

I'd suggest that you request permission from anyone who's pictures you use, rather than just taking them from forums etc...and that goes equally for the Models1 site!

i was just telling her that they was some pictures in the picture forum if she wanted t have a look there thats why i gave her the link to the model pics of dan, iam sorry if i didint ask for permission, i just thought i wasnt doing anything wrong by posting another link up to anthother part of the forum, ill make sure i ask permission next time

I thought she didn't mean you can't link to them, but if  Misspiggy were to use them for whatever she'd need permission... I could be wrong though so don't take this as the truth

Depends what you're using them for, I doubt whether anyone would mind much if you're not trying to sell them or pass them off as your own, but unless it says that they are copyright-free you do need permission.  It's easiest to find some on here where you can ask them directly, if you can find the right pics.

I don't think you need to go and hide somewhere, I just think that sharing photos on a forum doesn't necessarily mean you're giving permission for them to be used by people - so a quick PM to whoever's photo you're planning to use wouldn't go amiss.  It is a compliment that you want to use someone elses photo, after all, so I don't think anyone would say no, as long as they're being given credit.

Not sure how using other/non-fan photos works. I know that we did once have a very arsey pro photographer posting on here when some of her photos were posted without her permission (just posted, not turned into icons etc) so I think if you are going to publicise the work you do with people's photos, you should always check whether it's ok first.
