Miserable Pete again!!  Bah, i says!  He knows he loves them really, he just needs to accept it and come out of The Feeling Closet!

Let's go, everyone says it's so cool. You know, could be us, the greatest show on earth...

How can they be uncool?  They're one of the best bands around and have several awards to prove it =P

And yeah, we all know he likes them really.  He just doesn't want to admit it.

LOL! I wonder what they did to him. I didn't think he was being too bad, then you read the first line of the next paragraph

"In a few years’ time, those NME darlings Vampire Weekend might also feel brave enough to abase themselves as charmingly as that"

    Ouch! & Boooooo! Big Smile

Also in the same edition, in The Knowledge's "Top Five Gigs":

"3 THE FEELING The popsmiths warm up for Glastonbury with an intimate show.  Indigo at O2 Arena, Wed."

Hmm, think someone's not too sure of their dates here...

But dead jealous of this gig as, not only is The IndigO2 a fab venue, but I've grown rather partial to Gabrielle Cilmi recently.

    :-(

Alec have you not entered for the O2 gig on the main site? You might win and you might end up going Smile Although, I did just look and there is nothing there. Maybe I dreamt entering!

Also *whispers* The Gabriella Cilmi support is for the itunes gig at Koko Friday. I'm quite liking her song that is being played at the moment, not heard any of her other stuff.

Pete definitely does like them.  He was at that album playback thingy I went to last year.  I didn't think it read that badly tbh.

I don't know what equanimity means! I'm torn though. Not sure if I should seek out a youtubing of this cover or wait to see it with my own eyes! I know they'll do it justice!

I always google words I'm unsure of "equanimity definition" Stick out tongue usually does the job!

How do you hold out, I watched it at first opportunity and yes they do do it justice. Was it not on one of the Glastonbury videos  watched yesterday?

I usually that too - for some reason I just didn't  bother with this and thought I'd rather not get the gist of the reveiw instead! I shall google it now!

I've only seen BBC3 Glasto coverage so far - I'm hoping I can find the BBC2 stuff on the iplayer on tv. I'm sure it's there. If it's not though, I think I'm going to wait until I see it live!

Oops!  My mistake, got both the Wed & Fri gigs a little confused.  Entered both, but heard nothing, and my band's playing Friday anyway.

BUT, just picked up a pair of IndigO2 tix from eBay for a not too scary amount.  Any taker to come with me (downstairs standing, so prob unwise to go with a little one)?

They do a good job of it.. Dan does disappear off the bottom, and then the top, of the musical register at times though. Mariah Carey, eat your heart out! Smile

I was trying to remember the name of the journo who has a similar greek type of name that is less enamoured with the boys and we think it's Alexis Petridis.  Does that sound familiar?
