Charity Auction - Signed Feeling Guitar

     Hi Peeps,

A friend of mine is running a charity auction for East Anglia Childrens Hospices, entailing a golf day and a charidee auction at the end of it.. Since I have absolutely no idea what to do with a golf bat, I've managed to finagle the item to end all items for the auction.

Due to the boys being just about the sweetest, most kind-hearted fellows you'll ever meet, on Friday night, they all signed a brand new Fender CD60 acoustic guitar, which is going into the auction this Saturday at some posh Golf Club in St. Evenage.

Now, me being something of a fan of them, want to give y'all the chance to get your hands on it, should you want to.. I've had a word with the organisers of the auction, and they're quite happy to accept bids from anyone on the forum, on a 'sealed bids' kind of system.

To this end, if you want to put in a bid for this, please send an email to charityauction@fcbs.co.uk * with your name, address, telephone number, and bid amount. At the end of the bidding, we'll check the physical bids against the sealed bids, and the highest amount wins!

Please remember though, don't bid unless you actually want to - the winning bid is binding, and I've made a big deal of you lot to the organisers, so I don't want to be made to look like a total plum! Smile

A picture of said guitar, taken outside a pub in Camden last friday night... Classy!!

You can get a bigger version of it by clicking the image..

Good luck peeps, and thanks! Big Smile

*Bart - don't worry about the email address, it's one on the domain I'm responsible for at work, and my anti-spam crushes all before it!

Let's go, everyone says it's so cool. You know, could be us, the greatest show on earth...

Can I add, Foot not included! It's mine so I know full well it's not being auctioned. Thankfully, my toes look OK here!

Well done Chris for sorting this out and also arranging for us to join in. I wouldn't know where to start with the bid to be honest.

Do keep us informed as to how much it raises.

Can we at least have the shoe? It's kinda an integral part...  I, too, have no idea what to bid (and I intend to!).. I shall be giving it some thought!

No, I'd rather give my foot than my shoe! Hmmmm, actually if I gave my foot that would make the shoe pretty useless wouldn't it.

Sealed bids are far too hard. It might be easier to go to the auction. It's all very exciting!

For a person who doesn't want to be on camera/tv, you sure do get picked out alot Smile  Maybe it's one of those things, the more you try to hide, the more you are seen.

This looks cool, I was wondering why Big Chris was carrying a guitar on Friday.

Shows how much I know about local events, I didn't even know this was happening and it's in my home town, so dozy of me.

This guitar looks amazing  -  I love the little pics that have been drawn on it too.  I'm afraid I won't be bidding on this occasion - but will certainly keep an eye out for any future auctions of such amazing stuff.

Good luck to all those who intend to bid.........hope it goes to a true fan rather than some rich guy from a golf club (or wherever it was).

Sinebright, my foot I don't mind. That can be seen as often as it likes.  I fear I got caught last night too though. Just as I had four fingers in my gob whistling like a loon I turned to see a camera pointing in my direction. Eeeek. I slyly moved Offy forward and hid behind her Big Smile

    Maybe you should go.

Maybe we should get a Forum Consortium together. Say 12 of us and we could time share the guitar for one month each, each year Hmm

But which of you could *play* it...?

Always half-tempted to bring a guitar to a gig-queue and have impromptu Feeling busking/karaoke for a laugh!Music  But it'd really get in the way inside...
