    Any musicians out there?

Who plays an instrument and what sort of music do you play?

I'll start the ball rolling.  I used to play cornet in brass bands (lots) before I had my kiddy winks. Hubby is a trombonist (they're trouble).

I also play piano like Les Dawson and own a guitar which I've never had time to master!

I play piano and violin, and although I love both I think that the piano is my favourite. I'm classically trained so have a few problems playing pop stuff like The Feeling!

Well, my days of not taking you seriously are certainly coming to a middle

I wish I could play the piano...........I can use my right hand as long as it's just a single line of notes but that's it  -  and ask me to play the bass clef and I've no chance - can't even read the bass clef!!!!!

I do have a tenor saxophone which I was having lessons for, but we were flooded last June and the sax got put away as I didn't have anywhere to practice so I stopped my lessons.  Hoping to get back to it soon  -  but singing been taking priority just recently.  Just took my grade 6 classic exam this week (I left it late in life before starting lessons!!).

I play bass (mainly) and guitar.

I manage & play in a 10 piece covers band that plays weddings & parties and a 4 piece rock band for real fun.

And, just recently, in weaker moments, I've agreed to play in an Irish band doing Dubliners songs & suchlike.  Played my first gig last Fri (so had to miss the Koko gig) and knew only one of the songs, so had to survive by watching the guitarists like a hawk.  But got away with it and good money was made - and they want me back again, so can't be too bad...

Here's the big band (including sax-player Natasha who I brought for her first Feeling gig to IndigO2 last week):

*10* piece band? I questioned my ability to count to 10 for a moment Wink. But I suppose someone had to take the photo...

Well spotted!  Actually, it was the event photographer who took this.  Our guitarist was an invited guest, so he was off eating with the rest of the party, while we fooled about with photos and then went off to eat in the tradesman's dining room.

For the photo, Mark was asked to hold the guitar, but you can tell he's a keyboard player, as that chord is completely rubbish!
