its cheap and under 1000 people in a tent with other bands should be good anyone going?

RockStar 08 is a competition designed to unearth the best-of-the-best in the world of unsigned music. Backed by Michael Eavis, Glastonbury Festival’s father, the musician Peter Gabriel’s unique Real World Studio, this competition opens the doors to the most sought after prizes any unsigned talent could wish for. The competition Any unsigned band/performer was eligible to enter into this competition, which closed for this year on 19th June 2008. Having now closed for this year, judges are now looking at all the entries for this competition which gives one artist/band a chance to win the following amazing prizes and experience much, much more – 1. The winning band/performer will play a live set at the Pilton Equinox Party 2008 at the home of the Glastonbury festival, in front of a crowd of 4000. 2. A chance to win a two week recording session in the renowned Real World Studios 3. The chance to play a live set at Glastonbury 09 How does it work? Bands/performers have submitted their music. After the very experienced panel of judges, made up of various music professionals, have reviewed all the entries, 24 semi-finalists will be selected. These semi-finalists will then be invited to Pilton Working Men’s Club for four heat rounds, where 5 finalists will be selected by the live panel of judges including Michael Eavis, representatives from Real World Studios, Total Rock Radio, and UKmusic.com along with other high profile music industry luminaries. The live final will take place at the Pilton Party, to a crowd of 1000. There the finalists will play live, with the UK's best-selling band - Scouting for Girls, who will be performing on the night, in the final battle for the crown. The winner of this competition will be crowned RockStar 08 on the night and will be offered a second chance to play to their newly gained fans. RockStar 08 winner will be able to play their own set at the Pilton Equinox Party 2008, Michael Eavis' own party at Worthy Farm, the home of the Glastonbury festival. Following this event the winner will be offered the chance to record their own music in the unique and world famous Real World Studios over a two week period. The winner will also be offered a set at Glastonbury 2009, along with some of the world’s most famous bands and performers.

hello there, i've been going to pilton party also since 1999, and last year the equinox party. rang office today and booked my tickets for 19th sept but now see there's this one on 5th too? do they have 2 now ?? i thought equinox had replaced the pilton paty, no longer live local so dont hear the gossip :) thanks melissa x

All I know is that Scouting For Girls are performing on the 5th September in Pilton. I don't know where in Pilton I just know I'm turning up there on Friday.*shrugs shoulders*

This is the number for the glastonbury festival office where u can buy tickets for both scouting for girls at pilton party on friday and pilton exinox on the 19th franz ferdinand and ting tings are going to that should be good. Pilton party is at pilton playing field with 1000 capacity pilton exinox is 4000 capacity hope this helps 

thaks for that, do have the glasto office number .. not the same but got my equinox tickets on monday :) just didnt know they had 2 party's in pilton now :) thought 19th ahd replaced the first friday in september 1 of previous years :) presuming scouting for girls will be sold out by now and cant really do trip to pilton twice in 1 month :) petrol an all that :> will be at the one in mr. eavis's side garden on the 19th though :) thanks again and enjoy both xx

i dont know why this is here i just googled pilton party and found this :) was only trying to find out who was playing at equinox party  at pilton on19th, the small 1 this friday with scouting for girls is in the playing fields and you used to have to que to get in and pay on door but dont think that the case any more :)
