I was wondering when our resident Barry Norman would be back
So it was good then? I might go see it after all. It has been totally slated in the press.

Midge55:
film reviewers tend to be middle aged men don't they? I don't think this is their type of film!

Midge55:
I think they've changed quite a lot of it (I don't remember much about the book, just that I loved it) but I think they've made a great film! Not overly weepy, Hilary Swank was very likeable and the boys were HOT!
Anyone else seen it? Agree?....Disagree?....
Suzy and I saw it the weekend before New Year (it came out in NI earlier for some reason?!) and we both loved it. Not overly weepy at all, infact the only times I cried were with laughter! Agree about Hilary and the boys, and I love Lisa Kudrow, so having her in it was a total bonus We also got rather excited, and *quietly* very giggly when we saw Whelans (the Irish pub), because, as some of you earlier Feeling-boardies may remember, we saw our boys play there nearly 2 years ago in their very first (very small!) Dublin gig, and seeing the place again brought back lots of lovely memories!
 Well I know what you're after....its a rock n roll disaster!

I saw that too, but I'm not a real filmy person, so i don't have much of an opinion on it. It was pretty good though.

I haven't seen the Orphanage. Sound like one I'd wait for on DVD or TV.
What's on todays viewing list?

Oooh can i just add...
.. for anyone with youngsters, Spiderwick Chronicles is ace and HortonHears a Who s funny and brill for little ones.
I took my 9 yr old and 3 friends yesterday, our 4 yr old came too and they all loved Horton, even i had to giggle at parts. The Spiderwick Chronicles is a good Harry Potter type film for older ones but may be a bit scary for very little ones.
Thanks for the review on P.S I Love you, not seen it yet but loved the book.

And every time I can't say what I really wanna say you know, Yes every time just a trace of that look on my face and you know.

I ran out of time on Sunday in the end....even though I was up stupidly early; that 'spring forward' of the clocks left me short of time. I must go this weekend though - gotta get some more use out of my 'unlimited card'.

Midge55:I went to see 'The Orphanage' last night. It was so good - it's in spanish so I had to read the subtitles all the way through, but that doesn't bother me at all. I would highly recommend it. It's not the kind of thing I'd usually watch, it's a bit ghosty and I usually steer well clear of anything like that, but it had me gripped. Anyone else seen it? Oooooh I really want to see that! Isn't this the one that
Guillermo Del Toro produced? 'Cause I loved Pan's Labyrinth and apparantly this is as good, when I saw his name on the poster I really wanted to get off the tube and investigate more but we were already late. But I don't think any of my mates will want to see this, afterall you've got to read and it's not an action movie so they won't be interested. It's not showing in Bedford anyway so I'd have to go all the way to MK if I do want to see it and that's just hassle...guess I'll wait for the DVD.

Midge55:'PS: I love you...'
Midge55:Not overly weepy
*looks shame-faced* i started cryng 10 minites in, only fully stopped for about 5 mins in the middle, then cried all the way to the end! I loved it so much, the bit that really tugged at the heart strings was when Holly relived the first time she met Gerry through the letter and after she'd finished reading it Gerry's "ghost" nuzzled his head on her shoulder as she started to cry - - What can i say? I'm a hopeless romantic!
