My girlfriend and I very luckily got tickets to this -- we have an apartment in County Hall (just behind the London Eye), and tickets were made available for residents, and we managed to blag a couple!! It was a short but impressive gig. They came on at 7.30pm and played 4 songs, "Thought it was over", "People in Love", "Join with us" and "I love it when you call". A tight, professional set. The atmosphere wasn't great, as it was a corporate gig, so there weren't that many fans there, but a few were dotted about and the band managed to get the crowd going as much as they could. They didn't let the vague air of apathy harm the performance, and belted the numbers out righteously. The two oldies went down best, naturally enough, but "Thought it was over" built impressively to a nice, rocky finale, and "Join with us" is quirky and fun. Mika did a 20 minutes set afterwards, and while he's a gifted performer, he didn't have the same sort of energy as The Feeling. Can't wait for the tour to start properly -- we're seeing them in Birmingham and after this short, snappy appetiser we're drooling at the thought of a full set, seen with a few thousand appreciative fans of the same mindset!!!!
