Album Chart Show - lunchtime opportunity on Monday!!!!
Okeydokes - here's a last minute opportunity for 20 people. Send me a private message and I'll pick 20 out at random.
Sara Cox will be filming a short interview with two members of the band at Koko (Camden) at lunchtime on Monday. They would like a handful of people (no more than 20 IN TOTAL) to be around in the background and to be in shot. You will need to be there from 1pm until about 2.30pm (although this being telly - don't take that as gospel....!).
I don't know anything more than this (ie which band members, whether you'll get to chat to them etc) but it sounds like a good opportunity to me.
Attending this recording DOES NOT mean that you will have access to the recording in the evening with the live bands, but then again - if you win some tickets later you could make a day out of it...!
**EDIT: I am trying to find out if there will be evening tickets for the participants after all. Please watch this space.
Please PM me with your full name (and mobile number if poss) ONLY if you are able to attend. With such a small number of people required it is important that everyone chosen turns up.
Thanks.

Lynne, if 2 people want to go do they have to enter seperately or if someone gets chosen are they allowed to take someone with them? Oh and any age restrictions?
(P.s you know I love you lots )

Hi Becks,
I doubt there would be an age restriction for the lunchtime thing but I'll need to check. As you know, there is one for the evening show but I suspect that's down to insurance/health and safety reasons.
I guess the answer to the other question is yes - each person applying could bring a plus one. As long as the total is no more than 20.

Prob on my own coming straight from airport. Hope I find somewhere to ditch the skysuit. Even in the background I am not appearing wearing 'comfortable shoes'

Re: Album Chart Show - lunchtime opportunity on Monday!!!!
I went to this, with a couple of other forum members.
We arrived and were taken up stairs to a bar. I thought we would just be hanging about in the far background but no, we had to stand practically right behind the boys as they were inteviewed Once the lady in charge had placed us in suitable positions, Dan and Richard were brought in. They were interviewed and there were no mistakes, so they were more or less in and out very quickly. Becks will definitely appear on the show as being "young and pretty" she got to stand next to Sara Cox. I was more or less behind Richards left ear so all I saw of him and Dan during it was the backs of their heads. If I get caught on camera I bet I look like one of those grinning doughnuts desperately trying to get on the tele
We left there and had a few hours to kill before the evening show, I planned to go for a walk around the shops but the gang were a bad influence and we ended up in a very comfy pub on the canal for the afternoon.
Then we headed back for the evening show. This was much better than the last time I went there. The acts came on much more quickly far less hanging about. The Feeling did 3 songs
I thought it was over - Join with Us - Turn it up.
We were up on the balcony (except for Emma and her friend who we spotted at the front jumping and waving arms about like loons!). We had a really great view, the one thing that stood out from up there is how much equipment they have I'm sorry I have no snaps although Dolly has a couple and I think Becks filmed some of it. It was a nice way to spend an afternoon and evening thanks everyone!
Oh, and apparently The Album Chart Show returns to our screens on 8th February. Not sure if this is when The Feeling will be aired or not though.

Eeeeek, ha ha ha. We might have even made it into the evening shots. They kept telling the balcony to clap at one point as they were in shot and we had prime barrier spaces

Re: Album Chart Show - lunchtime opportunity on Monday!!!!
Yup all 'Chelle says is true, apart from describing me as "young and pretty" this is untrue and are the views of Sara Cox and not of the BBC or anyone who sees me in good light. I too was quite surprised at how everything went along so quickly: arrived outside the Koko, were taken inside and sat around a bit in the balcony/bar bit whilst listening to SFG soundcheck(I would have gone to say hello but I didn't want to put them off), then Emma and I got to play at being Rich and Dan for a few minutes(it was fun let me tell the) and then we were positioned, Sara was bought in(and she's possibly one of the nicest people EVER!) and then followed by the guys and the interview commenced! I was trying my hardest to hide behind Sara and stay out of shot 'cause I could feel myself going bright red, also Rich said something rather funny about Sonny and I could feel a little giggle coming out, but I held it in although I am going to look like a COMPLETE AND UTTER idiot so I suggest you don't watch, you just listen to it. Then it was all over so quickly and we were supposed to go and look at the shops in the lock and be really touristy but we were all feeling a bit peckish and someone wanted a drink(not giving away clues but she's a doughnut!) so we stopped at the pub for near to 3 hours! But yes the gig was very good 4 bands performed: "Envy and Other Sins", someone(I don't remember something to do with speed and light, I couldn't really hear) Scouting For Girls and The Feeling. Great sets from both of my favourite bands although I could have done with their sets being longer and the other bands sets being shorter!(but I did enjoy "Highness" by Envy and Other Sins) I felt like a right idiot being the only one on the balcony jumping around and singing at the top of my voice...I think Emma jumped, shouted and sung enough for the whole of the standing section! And the links went smoothly and quickly, although some of the links were quite funny 'cause we had no idea who we were supposed to be clapping for... oh yes my favourite band, by far, were "Joe Lean and The Jing Jang Jong"! I've got videos of ITIWO and Turn it Up, along with some SFG ones but I'll put them in the right section once I've uploaded them.
After the gig MB and I did a little Scouting and although our efforts in that department were less than fruitful we did happen to bump into a couple of very nice lads...any guesses who? Me thinks they are starting to think we stalk them!

That’s not true LOL! I have to defend myself as it’s beginning to look like I have a drink problem! I was looking forward to browsing the shops. I only went to the pub because everyone else was hungry. I merely said if that’s what everyone wanted to do I wouldn’t argue
Nice round up Becks, looking forward to your videos, and at a pure guess, I’d say you bumped into some Feeling type people!

Re: Album Chart Show - lunchtime opportunity on Monday!!!!
Yeh I did'nt get the blame for the pub venue. I'm always happy to go along with the majority vote I really like that trendy bar on the canal. Great time had by all. I only got there by the skin of my teeth. Felt quite important being whisked in with my VIP wristband. Must have looked like hell as had'nt slept for nearly 24 hours. Sara Cox was very pretty and friendly with a neat little baby bump.Dan and Richard did a good interview that included a funny story about vomiting. Great advert for contraception girls and boys!
As has already been said the eve went very smoothly. I was quite impressed with the quick turnaround of the bands on stage. The Feeling of course were the highlight and the new songs sound great. I think they are really enjoying playing them live. The crowd loved them and all were really bopping about and clapping apart from 2 ahem ladies in comfortable shoes who were just wrapped up in each other. Infact one of them had her back to the stage the whole time just wrapped up in her lady friend's arms. Why bother coming? They were right beside Emma (who I did'nt meet due to my late arrival) but she may have been oblivious as she was bopping about enthusiastically.Michelle & I had a great vantage point and if it's true about them filming us on the balcony I hope they only managed to get one of chins in.
If my pics are any good I will try to put them up but don't hold your breath.

haha. i was VERRRRY drunk, after me and jess had shared two bottles of wine, a galss of wine each, a cocktail each and a JD and coke each. the guy doing all the instructing commented on me haha. and i got shouted at by a girl in the crowd :(
we kept tryin to wave to you!
i thought they were brilliant, and SFG were much better, as when i saw them in Oxford i wasnt overly amazed by them, but opinion has changed now!
In the interview bit I really needed to sneeze but was holding it in haha so when you watch it, if i look completely strange, thats why!
was nice to meet you all again
Maybe some day, you'll forgive me..... Twelve stops and home...
